The concept of leadership in a line drives a concept of the primary importance of being first in the line.
The thought is of a race where the person that is in front is faster and mightier than those who come behind him and so the leader is justified in seeking out and receiving first pick on the rewards.

The concept of leadership of leading lambs drives a concept of followers that is not particularly relevant or accurate in today's business world.
